An Era Comes to an End…..
Well if things weren’t clear enough when Billionaire Elon Musk bought out the Social Media Platform Twitter for a staggering 44 billion dollars, now by rebranding the platform to “X” he has virtually confirmed that it is a totally new platform and not the one which we were used to for so long.
Well lets start with the basics, starting with the reason why Musk could have renamed the platform to a rather plain “X”.
Twitter being a rather explosive platform, we would have expected a rather dashing new name or a big symbol rebranding or something along the lines of that, instead he has decided to dethrone the blue bird which was the literal identification mark for Twitter.
The “X” name could be an attempt to leave his personal mark on the platform since his other company is also called “SPACEX”. A way to tell the public that it isn’t the old Twitter anymore and wont be following the old rules and instead it will be following his own new rules.
The Massive laying off process also indicates the above. He has told the employees to work even harder leading many to submit resignations.
So now the rules are clear ,Twitter isn't going to support anyone’s agenda, what Elon Musk thinks should happen will happen regardless of right or wrong.
Well this very obviously means freedom of speech will be much lesser than before, and unlike the previous management Musk isn’t very kind and is known for harsh crackdowns. For reference the original account with the “X” logo wasn’t informed or compensated when the rebranding made the account invalid.
It was simply taken back, no questions asked just like how you would expect a greedy corporate entity to do.
That is the benchmark of the new Twitter. All users are parts of the Puppet play and Elon is the Puppet Master.
So now we say goodbye to good old blue bird and enter a new era full of uncertainty. All we can do is well , hope for the best!
