- SHAZAM
Shazam even though he isn't as popular as Superman, he shares similar powers to that of his more famous league member, Superman. Both share powers like super strength, endurance , flight etc. What differentiates Shazam from Superman is his kiddish nature and his fear factor. Even though he is as powerful as superman he still doesn't have enough courage and experience to use his powers. This is what makes shazam resonate with the teen audience. When he is not a superhero he deals with the same kind of daily problems a teenager faces in real life. for eg: self doubt, overconfidence etc.
2.SUPERMAN
Superman the last son of Krypton is one of dc’s most famous characters till date. Whenever a person thinks about superheroes the one word that comes instantly is “superman”. His down to earth nature is especially satisfying considering the fact that he is a alien who can destroy the earth easily if he wanted to. His shy nature and his struggle to fit into the society is very recognizable and is one of the major plus points of the character. Though he has gone through many reboots the main features of the character have stayed intact over the years and across generations.
3. BATMAN
Now this character needs no introduction. He is the most famous DC character. Bruce Wayne learning to control his rage and trying to be something greater is something everyone can relate to. Another reason for his fame is his grounded nature since majority of his villains are normal humans and he himself is just a peak human and not any type of advanced super soldier or alien. So to the general public he is one of the superheroes that have a possibility of existing in real life. When a character is realistic it tends to get more fame.
4.WONDER WOMAN
Wonder Woman is the representative of genuine feminism. Her kind nature and ferocious rage are used in the appropriate situations. Her ability to lead the Justice League even when Batman and Superman aren't there is remarkable. Despite being the daughter of Zeus, she doesn't have any headweight and behaves like a normal human without any ego. She is a ideal role model for men, women and children alike.
5.Green Lantern
Green Lantern is the embodiment of the power of will. He has defeated very strong and powerful villains using his sheer will. He gives the people an idea that there is nothing in the Universe that a strong will cant break. He gives hope to people and emboldens them to strive towards a goal. A superhero with these characteristics will remain popular always in any time or generation.
